Simon is the CEO and founder of SBC. Simon created the SBC Generations ‘family’ division to work with family enterprises to help multi-generational families with the organisational, relational and personal aspects of their lives. From both personal and professional experience, Simon understands the complex nature of family enterprises and the challenges facing the different generations within them.
Simon has delivered insightful speaking programmes at a variety of conferences and forums on the ‘Family’ circuit including the FT Family Office Forum, Institutional Investor Forums – European Family Office Symposium, London Business School, IFB workshops, Global Family Office Community, Princip.al Forums, and has lectured for a number of years at King’s College on dealing with addiction in organisations.
Simon first book based on insight from his work with family enterprises. ‘Passing The Buck – How To Avoid the 3rd Generation Wealth Trap’. This book explores issues facing the Family Office and skills and strategies to ensure family enterprises thrive beyond the 3rd generation.
Simon is the 3rd generation of his family to run and own his own business. This together with his professional experience and training allows him to bring a unique perspective to the challenges facing families of complex wealth.
Simon gained his BSc in New Jersey, and his MA in California, and subsequently his MSc in Organisational Psychology and Psychiatry from King’s College, London. He also achieved an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapy in London.
